Custom Floors & More, Inc. Becomes a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE)
Awarded by the Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), Custom Floors & More, Inc. is now officially a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise. The Belleville-based flooring company received this certification after abiding by the criteria outlined on the MWBE website.
The entire CFM team is thrilled to receive this certification, but no one quite understands it like Julie Nitz, CFM president and CEO. “When I was growing up, women scarcely owned businesses. If there was a family business, the husband was typically in the spotlight of the company while the wife stood by his side. Regardless of the wife’s level of involvement, it was taboo for her to openly operate the business.” Thankfully things have changed. “Owning a business has been a driving force in my life for 25 years, and having my husband of 29 years next to me has been incredible.”
